Default ABS and Brake light Stay On

I have a 1994 2500 4wd Cummings, the brake light and abs light stay on. I have checked the fuses and replaced the Rear Wheel Speed Sensor. Did not turn off these warning lights. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome. How did you know to replace the speed sensor? 1994 you should have an OBD1 system. Sometimes you can read and clear ABS codes by grounding one of the pins in the OBD connection, i forget which one though. Usually when the ABS system has a problem and throws a hard code, that code has to manually erased by a code reader designed for ABS.

Based on other forums I went to the Rwss. Thanks for the response. I unhooked battery power hoping codes would clear, did not.

Unfortunately youll probably have to get it cleared by a computer. Either you can pay a mechanic $75 to read and clear it or buy a ABS only reader for about the same price.
