I also use Rotella and have never noticed any stink. I like it.....

Your the first.

Every time I change my oil with Rotella, my truck REEKS for about the first 100 - 200 miles.

BLAH......that stuff does stink! [:'(]

The wife thought my truck was burning down for the first few days after I changed the oil.

LOL ... I hear ya. If it didn't work so well, I'd probably switch it out for sure.

Someone else mentioned that the smell comes from some tube that hangs down and that by moving the tube away from the fan eliminates the smell. Any idea where this tube is?

Dodge dealer had been stamping a card for me so I had a free oil change due to me. But Iasked them to use synthetic oil and they added Royal Purple this time. I am guessing this oil sounds ok for what I have read on theweb. I endedup paying $50.00 because they only cover $40.00 with the free coupon. I think for $50.00 using this Royal Purple synthetic wasn't a bad deal. I'll drive it for about 10K miles and see how it will run.

Anyone using Royal Purple? How about some testimonies?
