Default P7100 problem

95 12V will not start, I loosened the inlet fuel line on the P7100 pump, depressed the manual pump several times, plenty of fuel squirting out of inlet line. Then loosened injector line on top of P-pump cranked engine with starter, no fuel coming out of p-pump. The last time I used truck engine cranked right up as it always does. My question is, does the fuel cutoff solenoid/switch go bad often or is the p-pump shot? how do I tell which is bad? Thanks for any info

Unplug the connector to your shutoff solenoid, yank it up, and try starting it. You'll have to manually push the shut off solenoid down again to kill it.

I wouldn't say they go bad often, but they do go bad over time.
