Sounds like it's the particulate filter getting clogged up and needing to be cleaned out, which is why people are recommending that you remove it from your truck and get a programmer.

 

So if I were to get the mini-max programer and dpf delete pipe will it let me also turn off the EGR so I dont get CEL?

I haven't been shopping for the stuff, but my understanding is that after the half-million dollar EPA fine, the big boys in programmers have stopped offering delete software here in the US.

 

there are still some offroad only programmers out there, and EFI-Live is also capable of deleting the DPF and EGR for 07-09

 

So it looks like the programmer is not happening right now. But on another sight I found the EGR/NOX delete pipe and installing SIMS from Rolling Smoke Diesel.com at the appropriate sensors to fool ecm. Has anybody on here tried this?

 

nope never tried it.

my old man just bought an 07 6.7L so he will be in the market for DPF delete as well...

I told him to go with EFI-Live since it is supported on 07.
