Default 2008 BlueTec Diesel

Hey all,
Been looking at an 08' RAM 2500 with the BlueTec diesel equiptment and was wondering if this is a good truck to have. Now I do know a little bit of info on the BlueTec as far as what it's job is, but I wanna know how it benefits from the 5.9L. I like the truck, but if the 6.7L with this BlueTec stuff isn't such a good idea then I will stick with looking for a 5.9L. I have heard from a lot of my buddies at work who have the 5.9 in their truck that it's the best truck they have ever owned and have never had any major problems out of em...any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!

The 6.7's have a lot more sensors, componants, and emissions equipment. The early 6.7 and a lot of problems when they first came out, but a lot those issues have been solved with computer flashes and modifications. The biggest issues are the EGR cooler and the DPF filter. If your not worried about warranty, i would yank those two comonants off and you shouldnt have any problems.
