Default New South Bend Clutch, noise?

I have a 06 cummins with a 6 speed, burnt my old clutch so I installed a South Bend dual disk, 3250 i believe. It now makes a gear whine? type sound at some points of acceleration. Curious if my tranny is junk or if that is what south bend meant by it being noisy? Any input would be much appreciated

I just had the same clutch installed in my 05 with the G56 trans and it is noisy as hell. I drained the ATF from the trans and put in 8qts of Pennzoil manual trans oil and that took out some of the noise but it is still annoying. The shop that put the clutch told me that the stock dual mass flywheel absorbed the noise and that the older getrag trans is not as noiey because of the cast iron case. Thinking of gluing some rubber dampners on the trans case to try and absorb some of the harmonics. Will let you know how it works out.

Mine is a 06 cummins with a south bend DD clutch, not sure of the model but it is also noisey as hell (dont really notice it while driving except in 5th and 6th gear) and from what ive heard and read it is typical and normal for most.
