Default More HP

Hi, I have a 2003 Dodge 2500 Diesel with the automatic transmission and am wondering if anyone knows what the difference is between my 250 HP and the 325 HP diesel and what upgrades were done to create the HP gain on the motor.

Also, any performance and upgrade tips to make more power will be appreciated. thanx.

different injectors, larger turbo, larger oil journals and larger oil nozzles for the pistons and a slightly different programming with the ECM.

first would be to dump any part of the exhaust that is 3 inches in size and replace with a 4 inch. second get a a minimum a boost and EGT gage. last, any box will increase performance drasticaly. the ones I have been looking at have beenone from Quadzilla and a box from Van Aaken.

first and easiest is exhaust and intake. then you can add injectors or a box. after that, the $$ can really go up. i have Van Aaken Smart Box and i love it - huge improvment

to get real power you should upgrade to the banks six gun bundle
that will get you about 150hp more for about $1500-$2000.

I would stay as far away from Banks as possible! The stuff they are selling is junk! Do your research and read all the diesel forums. I found that most people who went with Banks kits weren't all that happy with the results...and alot lighter in the wallet!

I've contacted a guy named Jeff at http://www.advanceddieselspecialist.com/ who is a total motorhead when it comes to diesel engines and he set me right about what to upgrade. He's knows more about diesel performance than than everyone I have talked to and his prices are very reasonable.
