I have a 04.5 6 speed with 4.10 gears and when empty crusing at 75-80 I will get about 17mpg if I slow it down to 65 or so I will get a little over 19. I think I would be getting better mileage with different tires as I am running mud t/a's. My of my brothers work trucks is a Duramax and the other a Powerstroke. The numbers Im getting are a little better then his but would trade both of his trucks for a Cummins.

Okay, pulled my 28ft Toy hauler loaded out around 12,300lbs last week on a 350 mile round trip. My mileage was 11.2 hand calculated. I was running at about 60mph and the drive is not all flat, in fact it has several grades. Considering the hills, trailer weight and my taller tires, that doesn't seem too bad. I get a little better than 17 empty on the highway.
