Default 04 cummins problem

So i just recently bought an 04 2500,5.9, 6 speed, 4x4 cummins about a week from last Tuesday. Drove it around Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Everything was running good starting fine. I left Friday came back Sunday, hopped in my pickup Monday and it wouldn't start. Put a charger on start mode and barley would turn over. I grabbed my voltage meter to start checking fuses. I then shut the charger off to check the batteries. But batteries read 12.5 volts. I have power under the hood, but nothing in the cab. Door locks windows radio it wont even start. It doesnt even show that i have power when i put the key in and turn it no gauges light up. Does anyone have an idea or had a similar problem?

Do you have power at your TIPM? Any blown fuses?

How would i test it. Just pull a fuse and check the fuse box with a voltage meter?

tipm is the totally integrated power module - aka the fuse/relay box under the hood. There should be a lug with the wire coming from the battery - is there power at that lug? Use a test light or a multimeter, either one will work.

I'd figure it would be a BCM before ECM.

Just for giggles, disconnect both batteries. Load test them individually, and if good, hook them back up. I've seen some weird things happen with chrysler products that were cured by unhooking the battery.

Just had this happen to me. Got in my truck tried to start it and click. No power inside at all. Took my batts out and got them tested at napa(they were cheapo batts the po put in so I figured that was it) I went to napa ready to buy 2 optimas and had my old batterys tested showed 1,100 cranking and they tested good. Bought a good terminal brush went home and spent about 2 min on each one and got everything shining. Put one batt in a boom she fired right up. Even tho your connections dont look dirty clean them just to be sure.
