Default 12v '92 cummins

Hello all, been on the forum a long time but never posted in cummins sections! just ran across a 1992 12v. anything I should take a hard look at or should I fork out a whopping $4500. couldn't believe the price but it could be a junker although it looks decent (needs paint but not much dents). Looks like it's been a farm truck. It's even got the old farmer runnin boards on it! whoopee!
may have been pulled to death but then again all I need is to pull a 26ft camper and haul wood. any tips on looking at it would be appreciated!!!

Fire it up, check for blow-by, give it a good workout test drive and check for steering looseness and shift quality.
