1998 Cumming 5.9 24 v Ram2500 no fuel
My 98 Ram 2500 dropped dead cranked fine could not restart had it towed home.Plugged in Scanner and found it was unable to connect. Checked DLC
good pin 4 ground and good battery pin 16 no pin 5 sensor ground.Checked the sensor ground plug that plugs into the engine cumputer unit pin 4 on the 50 pin connector and it was open I continued the all data check Test NS-6A measured the resistance between SCI ( Serial communication interface )transmit and Receive circuit. No resistance in between the 2 it was suppose to have a resistance of less than 5.0 ohms .Voltage with key turned onto lift pump goes to 9.6 and drops to 7.6. I checked the pump with 12 v direct and it worked fine.
Something or someone is sucking down the voltage.checked fuses and relays.
Perhaps too much resistance somewhere I have 70 ohms at the starter relay where there is suppose to be resistance but have no idea of the resistance value. The Pcm passed all the all data tests. Help!!!!

on-off 3 times leaving it on the 3rd time without starting it. should display codes on the odometer
if you cant get codes that way, go to parts store and have them hook a scanner up to it to pull the codes from the obd-II port

I tried key trick it did not work my obd 2 port does not connect with my scanner. I found the sensor ground open .I dropped the truck off at Dodge hoping they could find where the open is. I tried and could not .I was only able to narrow it down to the sensor ground wire that came out of the PCM in the harness that mounts to bulkhead.Wire goes down to transmission without a lift it is difficult to get to.I am optimistic the dodge tech can repair it. I did get the truck running by changing the fuel pump which should have been replaced when the injection pump was.
