My 06 3500 mega cummins started blowing oil past blow valve. Talking to several mechanics, been told rings are bad and will need to rebuild or replace engine.....Only has 150,000 miles! At dealership now and they tell me 1 and 6 injectors are bad and want to swith them and do a compression test.($500) The engine runs great and I am confused....Any suggestions?

Sounds like it needs rebuilt to me. Yes, generally they will run fine even with massive blow by.

A new fresh reman from Cummins is about 13k, a salvage pull out is in the 6500 range, and a rebuild can run as low as a couple grand up to 8k. That's doing it yourself.

With 150k on it, replace all 6 injectors with new ones
