Default Is a 56045537ac fog light switch enough?

I have a 2005 Dodge Ram Diesel 2500. It did not have fog lamps from the factory. A friend gave me the lights off another Ram. It had all the wiring. I found the red plug under the drivers side light area and plugged in the wiring and installed the lights. I will need to get the fog light cowls unless I want them to shine through the louvers. I know I need a new fog light enabling switch.

My question arises because the dealer was not sure if just replacing the stock P56045536ac non-fog light switch with the 56045537ac fog light switch would enable the fog lights in my case. Has anybody done what I described? Looks like the truck was prewired and the free lights came off a similar Ram. I was hoping just the switch would suffice.
