Exhaust opinions
Hello everyone, I'm quiet new here so sorry if this is in the wrong thread.
I have a 2009 Dodge Ram 3500 dually 6.7L turbo diesel that is pretty much stocked, but I want to make it sound better then stock.
I know a lot of my friends told me to remove he PDF and something else that would give it a lot more power and what not but I know that isn't free also.
I would like to put a budget of 1000$ and less for now for the truck. I'm thinking about switching the entire exhaust would provide me with a better sound then the stock one. But I am not sure which brand of exhaust is better for this kind of truck? Any opinions?
Thanks

The only way to increase the sound is a DPF delete. There are no longer any new tuners made to do this code-free, so you need to either find a used unit (or keep your fingers crossed a warehouse has some in stock) or use sims to delete.
Sims are here, both EGT and pressure: http://www.puredieselpower.com/catal...f188e67dba5c21
Delete the EGR and cooler as well
Keep in mind, if you live in an emissions area, you're likely to catch flak.

Yes, someone mentioned me to get 4" from turbo, then 5" straight then a 5-6" inch or something similar to those lines.
But even with a new exhaust from turbo, it will not sound like a beast is what your telling me? Of course I can expect a change in the sound with a different exhaust, but with all the deletes it will sound even more.
Is that something that a garage can do for me? And what are the prices ranges for let say a straight exhaust kit, a DPF and EGR delete?
Thanks

No no no. Don't go 4" to 5" then 5-6"...choose either 4" or 5" all thje way from turbo to bumper, then throw on a nice tip if you want, 5" for 4" exhaust, 6" for 5" exhaust.
Turbo back will be loud yes. DPF-back doesn't do anything.
