Just bought a 2006 2500 with 5.9, want to up grade fuel system later but for now what fuel filter ( Mopar Wix Fleetguard Fram ) or somrthing else?

fleetguard is now "cummins filtration" therefor it is now the OEM filter.

I would look for a filter that is rated at 2-3 micron rather than the factory 7-10 micron...

there are a few aftermarket companies that have stock replacement filters in the 2-3 micron range.
