ABS and BRAKE light wont shut off!!!! help
I took my edge juice with attitude off today and afterwards when i went to start the truck it threw a code p0513, and the brake light and abs light wont turn off any suggestions on how to fix this would be very helpfull. I hooked the edge back up far enough to read the code and clear it but it did not fix the problem. Please help
I had the same thing when I test drove my truck ( used from a dodge dealer). I made it a pre-condition to get fixed, but the lights went out when we drove it to the service area.
It came back on and stayed on so I took it back and the dealer had to replace the abs unit. I don't know what that cost so I can't help you. But I do recall that the owners manual saying something about this too.
Maybe try to get the brake fluid flushed because I heard that sometimes it gets things gummed up in the ABS..

My Hypertech programmer came unplugged while I was upgrading my 01 CTD. The ABS light came on and flashed while the truck was running. It was a setting in the computer for the ABS. It was supposed to be between 60 and 120 and it was set to something like 13 which threw an error in the ABS. The guys at Hypertech worked with me and they were able to send a programmer that fixed the problem.
You may need to take it to someone with an advanced scanner that can read the ABS codes and fix any incorrect settings(if there are any). The ODBII scanners will not read the ABS codes abd certainly will not change any values in the ABS system. I'd also call Edge, they may already have a fix for it.

Do a search on ABS light on this and the other dodge truck sub-forums. You'll find a number of hits on the subject. More than likely it is the speed sensor located on the rear axle. Costs about $30-35 and 1/2 hour or less to replace.

Troop? Has this happend to your truck? I cleared the code but did not try the back up thing? I have a friend with the bd triple dog is this what you have that worked? thanks for your help
rfinn04 it happened to my 05 with the BD PUP it has not happened to mine that has the BDTD in it, the same thing happened to my fathers he has the pup. His came with a paper that said it the light comes on then clear the codes and then back up and it worked for both of us. Has not happened with the TD if it doesn't work just call BD they are pretty helpful. I origanally ordered the pup for my 06, had a bad code didn't download my vin and wouldn't ya know the truck won't run without the vin in the computer. Called them they overnighted a TD to recover it they walked me through the recovery over the phone then sent me another TD at thier cost so thats what I got.
