Question Fuel additives

Sorry if this question is old and previously answered. I am new to the Cummins 6.7L diesel and wonder if those of you more familiar with this power plant recommend a specific fuel and/or additive.

fuel: b5 soypower biodiesel

has the best lubricity of any diesel fuel + additive...

or for the 6.7L regular #2 diesel with opti-lube additive

Yep, B5-B20 if you can find it (partial 5-20% biodeiesel blend) if you can it wont hurt to not use any except for as a cleaner every few tanks (unless its get cold in the winter where you live then an anti-gel/lubricant is a good option Power Service, Howles, etc...). Best thing to do is buy your fuel from a reputable gas station that sells alot of diesel and change your fuel filter out on a regular basis.

even if they don't sell a lot of diesel fuel, a reputable station with have PPD on hand and add it to the fuel when necessary.

(PPD = Pour Point Depressant which is an anti-gelling additive for oils/fuels)
