Power Folding Tow Mirrors

Power Folding Tow Mirrors
Just bought a 2015 Ram 2500 Bighorn diesel. Truck has power folding sport mirrors on it. Dealer is supposed to install power folding tow mirrors (as part of the deal) Service department tells me that Ram says they can't do this. I test drove 2 different 2015 2500 Ram Big Horns that had power folding tow mirrors. Does anybody know why the dealership can't install the power folding tow mirrors on my new truck? They say there is no part number for this application.
Thanks in advance!

I bought a 2014 Big Horn and am in the same boat. I was kinda limited in my choices when I bought as the 2015s had just started coming out and 2014s left on lots were getting $10,000+ discounts. At three different lots, all I could find with tow mirrors were duallies and one $70k Laramie Longhorn.
The Big Horn had everything I wanted except the tow mirrors and push button keyless start (although it does have remote start). When I inquired I was told the same as you that power folding tow mirrors can not be added.
So I decided to make some inquiries and found out this USED to be true. Mopar has recently released a reinforcement bracket making the switch possible. Dealers were notified via email in April 2015 that this bracket was available for upgrade from power sport to tow power tow mirrors. Now the problem is - the
mirrors are on back order with no expected release date. Price on the mirrors when available will be $1100 per pair and the brackets are an additional $250.
There is an economical third party option and from what I hear the quality is close to factory mirrors.

power folding tow mirronrs
Thank you. Dealership gave me their dealer code so I could talk to Chrysler. (Another parts guy)They told me even though my truck has power folding SPORT mirrors, I still can't put power folding TOW mirrors on the truck because of the harness and the modules. ??? I give up, I need to start using the truck for what I bought it for. I am scheduled to put manual folding tow mirrors on this Friday.
Thanks for the info

I know for a fact it can be done. Have a hunting buddy who is also on a dedicated diesel forum who swapped his power sports on his '15 with a guy who had power tow on his '15. They work fine but kinda rattle a little, which I'm sure is why Ram sent dealers info that you need the support bracket...
