Default changing oil pan on 99 with no hoist

I'm trying to rebuild my truck & I just pulled t case & od unit& while Im waiting on a new od I need to pull my oil pan as it has a slight hole in it but Im having some issues.
First off I have a shop but can't get it in there now.I don't have a cherry picker so we undid the bolts & jacked it up by the pan with some 2x4s & then I slid a piece of 2x4 under the passengers side motor mount but the d/s is different & you can't get anything under it.Does anyone have sny suggestions?
It's up pretty high I think I just unbolt & let the deep end fall down&The front end go up some & then I just pull out the back? Someone said they just jacked up the body idk. Please any help I would surley appreciate it.

Gotta hoist the front of the engine about 3". Just attach chain & shackle to the front lift tab. Loosen motor mount bolts almost all the way but don't remove. With the front lifted you can get a 10 mm on all the bolts. Remove and let the pickup tube drop into the pan. Tilt pan towards back of truck and it'll slide right out...

Well the whole point of the glad was how to lift it without a hoist. I've been on other forms were guys have done it they just don't really go into detail

Sorry, I've only done it the correct way. My local auto parts store rents one for $10 a day.

I have used the winch on my old truck with a ****** block on a beefy limb to pull engines before. You could easily winch it up a couple inches...

I know you're kinda stuck but the bottom line is that 1000# engine has to go up in the front a couple inches and you have to get your hand in there to get at the bolts. I don't really think it is worth taking a shortcut...
