I looked through some threads about assembly lube and im not sure but the location is hard to tell from the pictures but it looked to me to be coming from the timing cover. I do have to say whatever it is was real black, but didnt have a oil smell to me. I just cant see why its already leaked all in that plastic pan coming out of the spout area and all over my new stabilizers i just added a week ago. Even if it assembly lube its all over the place.

Dang i wish i would have remembered my new Code Reader could have read that abs code if it wouldnt have reset!!!

 

Well i went outside to see if it reset when i got home from work and it didn't, but my code reader also didn't pull the Abs code up ao looks like its time to call the dealership. Probably gonna take over a week for them to look at my truck. So whats the deal with rental vehicles? Are they required to provide one while they fix my truck?

 

So i looked over all my Abs lines again and finally found the problem! The exhaust clamp on my dual exhaust hit my rear diff and split the wire right where i couldnt see it on top of the diff. So after finding that i soidered it back together, sealed it, taped it and tie straped it in a safer location. Then i loosened and spun the clamp higher so not to hit my rear diff. Problem solved! For that at least.

Yep, i had a feeling it had something to do with the exhaust. Thats why i checked again. Im suprised i was able to find it with how small the cut was and the location.

 

Yep, and being caused by aftermarket if you'd have brought it to dealer they'd have charged you major coin for the minor repair...

 

True that! Glad i checked now just gotta check the oil leak or whatever it is.

 

Crawled under the truck today definently has a small oil leak, its dark dark staining black oil so as soon as i can squeeze my truck into the dealership its gonna take a trip and get looked at. I was thinking about looking the torque up and trying to tighten the bolts but im pretty sure its seeping from the timing cover not the pan because how high up the oil residue is.
