Default 2014 ram 3500

I just last week purchased a '14 3500 4X4 6.71 RAM and was looking to see what were the preferred engine oil and fuel filters folks here are using. Purchased in Billings and the trip home to Orlando was nothing short of excellent.

Thanks, Bob

Aside from everyones personal preference, You cant go wrong with the factory recommended lubricants and filters.

Geno's Garage real good deal on the fuel filters. Engine filter Mopar or Fleetguard. Chassis filter Mopar.

For engine oil filter I like Mopar, Fleetguard or Wix. Can't go wrong with Rotella for oil...

Since my first diesel, more questions... With no plans to go into cold country during winter, what weight oil recommended? In my gas autos I use 10W-30, not sure about this truck. Seems meeting CJ-4 specs is a must.

Do you have an owners manual?

15w40 Conventional is fine except when/where ambient temps below freezing is expected, then 5w40 synthetic is required per Cummins...

Thanks Hammer. I do have an owners manual but loaned it out before I had a chance to read through it. Will have it back in a few days.
