Right on I should of typed (mine is 1995)

 

The 2002 is controlled by computer and the vp44 does not have a fuel shutoff solenoid like the 12v's do..

Things to find out
Does it have a check engine light on??
What is your fuel psi?
What do your battery connections and ground look like??

 

Hey we found the problem....The Cam sensor was trying to go out...got 'er changed and it works great....Thanks for the in put...
