2001 Dodge 2500 Cummins Diesel. Runs great with 69,000 miles. Dash display shows ASB and AIRBAG. The following do not work: Windows, heater fan, speedometer maybe more, The following does work: Lights, turn signals, horn, tachometer, radio and windshield wipers.

I can reset the dash display while the engine is shut down with the trip button and everything will work until I start the engine. Then the list above no longer works and the dash display shows the ABS and AIRBAG lights and the speedometer and windows do not work.

For a long time I could merely restart the engine a couple of times and all would be OK but this no longer works.

I have read that this is a somewhat common problem but the dealer says they will start looking at $100 per hour and have never heard of the problem before. Please give me your advice
