Default where to look? (front end ticking?)

I have a 2007.5 Dodge Ram 3500 dually 6.7 g56 with mp271 transfer case (same as np271 just under a joined name change) I recently had the chain stretch and come off the gears in the transfer case that caused a ticking noise. go the transfer case rebuilt (myself) with new chain. put about 70 miles on the truck and the noise started again. I pulled over got under it and spun the flange for the front drive shaft. ( needs new u joints on front drive shaft so its not on yet) the chain doesn't seem to b loose and when I shift into 4wd the front flange goes into 4wd so I don't see a problem with that again. (will b pulling case off just to make sure tho) as I was driving back home the noise went from a chain like tick, to a solid tick, to a squeak, back to a solid tick. but now it sounds more from the front end then the transfer case. anyone have any ideas where to start looking?? thanks in advance!
