gear ratios...
i have an 06 2500 sport and my sticker says i have a 11.50 rear axle. How do i find the gear ratio, it is not on the window sticker? also bad news the truck is less than 20 days old and i got into my first major accident. kudos to dodge i walked away!

That sucks man.... glad you're alright.
I'm not sure if this is the same on the 06's, but on the 02-05's in the glovebox was a sticker and it said what axel ratio you had and trim package and all that stuff.
Hope that helps.

Something has changed in 06, for this. I will say that I was looking at 03-05 used trucks and the sticker everyone is talking about was in there. I ended up buying an 06 and went to look for the sticker and it is not there, nor is anything on my window sticker. I have also checked the diif's for a tag on one of the bolts and not luck there either. I am pretty sure that 3.73s were put in the autos unless you have the 20 inch nice wheels or some manuals came with the 4.10s. I plan to ahve the dealer run it and find out on mine.
I have an 05 2500 quad with 4 speed auto and 4.10's.
I can almost say for sure that if you tach is over 2000 rpm's at 65mph there is a good chance you have the 4.10's.
also, and i'm not telling anyone to break any laws! but i know that the top speed governor is 2900 rpm's on your tach.
i know that my top speed is 90 mph with the 4.10's. if you can go faster then 90mph then you have the 3.73's
maybe not the safest ways to tell but it will work.
on the 2005's i know is is a $50 option o have the 4.10's in the rear and it always says it on the original window sticker because it is a $50 upgrade and it is needed on the sticker to come up with the original sticker price.
hope this helps and remember don't speed!
