That's what I meant, the speed does not continue to increase and the engine stops making it's intense roar. It sounds like you have the pedal to the floor until you throw it in neutral

there is no drain on the transmission is there? Just have to drop the pan carefully and let it go out one corner?

OK, apparently, the PCM sets that code when the TCM (trans control module) has set a code..... but, to read THOSE codes, you need a fairly high-zoot scanner.

Now, I have no idea why a trans fault would cause the engine to be stupid. That's just strange.

Going to need to get your hands on a good scanner, that will actually read the TCM codes, and see what IT thinks is going on......
