Default P0299 code.

Dodge Ram 6.7 stock engine 108k miles. Runs great but after leaving Denver heading to Wyoming. Check engine light came on. It was not holding speed on cruise while pulling our 12K 5th wheel. Could it be the computer needs to get used to the mountains?

That's an underboost condition. At least, that's what the PCM thinks is going on. Weren't there some issues with the variable wastegate, and pressure sensor on those engines??

Default Code p0299

The alarm occurred north bound out of Denver to Wyoming after traveling from Topeka Kansas. It cleared after 24 hrs. Obviously a computer problem resulting from altitude.
