Default Rear view mirror

Hello all, it's been awhile, but I just purchased a 15 Dodge ram 2500 and the rear view mirror (not to be confused with the side view mirrors on the outside) is loose at the base where it attaches to the windshield. I have toyed with it and bent the bracket on the mirror itself to try and make it work to where it is not loose. But every time I go to put it back on, it is just as loose as it was before. Is there anyway that I can fix this issue?
thanks in advance

Isn't there a set screw that holds it in place??

Well it has this trilobe connection that you just twist off the windshield mount and if it's on all the way it just wobbles as I drive and I can never get it to stay in one place. Really annoying to not see back to keep an eye on my trailer or load in the bed

Could you put some kind of shim in there, to keep it steadier? Not familiar with that style of mount.

I was thinking of that but I don't know what to use that could be reused when I need a new windshield
