Default Gauge Problem

Hey Everyone

I have a 2003 3500 and have been having a issue with my gauges while I am driing all the gauges will turn off the truck will beep because the fuel gauge hits empty and then everthing goes back to normal. Is any one else having this problem and does anyone know what the cause might be

sounds like you might have a bad ground on the wireing harness, or the computer is having an issue.

it might be a good option to see what the dealership can see with their scan tool, or if you have one as well you might be able to see what the problem may be.

Try beating on it or wiggling the wires. not hard enough to break anything or pull any wires loose. just keep proding around. if it a loose connection you could possible find it this way.

Sounds like a loose connection behind the cluster. Do you have a way of reading fault codes? Check the codes in the other modules. That may give you clues as to what is happening. When the gauges go out, do the headlamps come on?
