it is comeing from the engine running that RPM and things hitting a harmonic. at 2300 it goes away and I dont have it at 2100.

Forester, I HAD the exact same vibration, between 65-80mph. Had it in to the Dealer 6 times was ready to pull the Lemon law bullsh@## on them. First they tried the obviuos tire rebalance etc. no change... Then they shimmed the driveshhaft, said it was at an improper angle, no change. They pulled the drive-line put new one in they thought the old one was not properly balanced, NO CHANGE, pulled the axles thought maybe one was bent, no change, looked into the transfer case nothing found. By this time, because I was getting rally pissed off as i bought this vehicle over 50 miles from where I live. So as you can imagine spending all this time waiting to get the same damn thing back was frustrating. Finally they looked at the yoke they said it was slightly bent? How god only knows but that FINALLY got rid of the vibration issue. Now I have a slight MOAN between 17-19mph, like its hitting a weird harmonic or something. Service guy says its normal for this to happen (only when cold) that Dodge went to a bigger gear in the rearend? Maybe Drew can shed some light on this cause every service guy I talk to gives me a different story.

I dont know what to say. I would suggest pressureing the dealership into letting you take it to a drive line shop.

the axels realy werent the problem, it was either the yoke or the drive shaft not being ballanced properly.

makes me feel lucky that I dont have any of these problems.

besides the same AAM axel that is in your truck is on mine. 03-06 use the same 11.5 axels.

the dealer has done an extensive search for the problem,, now awaiting a new driveshaft. I ask that they continue on with FORD parts, by the time they are done , I will have the truck I should have bought!![:@]
