Ring around D in selector comes on and off when cold.
My 2006 Dodge 3500 has a ring around the D on the tranny selector. When cold the ring intermittently goes on and off with a small clicking sound. What is it trying to tell me?
Update. Upon further investigation I didn’t realize the cold tranny intermittently disengages the overdrive.
once it warmed up it was uneventful!
