fuel pressure
in reading one of the other posts i reminded myself of something i have been meaning to ask. what are the best ways to monitor fuel pressure? i have a 04.5 Cummins 600
thanks
thanks
the only one to realy be worried about wold be the lift pump pressure. idle is about 12 pounds, cruseing will be around 8lbs, and WOT will run it down to about 2-3, and in some cases 0.
there are ways of measureing rail pressure of the HPCR, idle will range from 3-6K pounds and WOT will result in 26k+, the max for most transducers of today that can easily be bought. yes the HPCR runs from 3000 to 26000 pounds of pressure.
the best way to do this is to install a fuel pressure gage to the fuel canisters lid. there are kits for sale that will just replace the top and have a hook-up already built in
