Default g56 tranny problems fixed

was wondering if anyone knew if the problems with this transmission are fixed,,,, from what I read it wasnt nothing drastic but more of a viberating problem,,,,,,I have a 06 with this tranny in it ordered and also have read where they went to a twelve and a half inch clutch instead of the thirthteen inch,,,, did this help any,,,,,, ,,,, ,,,, ,,,, ,,,, thanks,,,, rt3500

the only thing I have heard about the G56's is the detonation of the early models. the oil fill plug was cast too low causeing the output bearings to run dry. the way to solve this was to dump a quart of oil down the shift lever hole.

other than that they seem to be holding up as well as the tried and true NV5600.

thanks drew,,, I had heard that the dealers were taking the shifter out to add oil but never heard why, never made sense but does now,,,,, thanks again,,,,,, ,,,,, ,,,,, ,,, rt3500
