Default 48RE not shifting to overdrive

Was driving 04 ram 2500 cummins came to a stop and when i took off noticed it wasn't shifting to overdrive. As i accelerated the tach went up with the speedometer. Reverse works, shifts to 3rd but on overdrive. Looked underneath and was leaking some fluid. Slowly back home and looked underneath and wasn't leaking. Hasn't since. Trans temp light came on and overdrive light was flashing. Tried all the reset options i knew or could find. Lights aren't flashing but still doesn't shift. Any ideas to cure the problem?

When the trans gets to hot, the PCM will disable O/D, and then turn on the Trans Temp lite. (in no specific order....... ) If the trans is getting hot, need to find out why. Start with checking fluid level. (fully warmed up, trans in neutral....)
