My 2001 2500 Ram has been stuttering in overdrive between 50mph and 60mph as it warms up. I checked the dipstick and it is full and doesn't smell burnt. Is it a transmission problem or something else

Probably something else. Likely an intermittent engine misfire. How old are your plugs? What type? These trucks really don't like the rare-earth fellers.

Ok, so, it ain't spark plugs.

Do the diesels even have a misfire counter? Might plug in with a scanner, and see if anything interesting presents itself.
