Default 2005 5.9 Evap system questions

I have a new to me 2005 3500 5.9l. I was told by a mechanic to replace my evap system. Trying to find the parts has been a little slow. Where do you get good parts for the 5.9 evap system? Thank in advance!!

252xxx miles, recently had to rebuild transmission, replace all of the a/c system, fuel filter, oil filter, air filter, tires, rotors & brakes. Try to replace the canister and purge valve before it is a problem. Mostly original parts on here. The problem I am having is finding the right parts. Most of the parts seem to be cheaply made. And I am hoping to get a diagram of them too.

Use one of the mopar sites to get Mopar part numbers for what you need, then google search on those numbers, you can generally find replacement parts for a reasonable price.... (less than the dealer at any rate....) But, try and find Genuine Mopar parts......

So I replaced the evaporate system on the a/c is there something that I am missing?....I helped my dad on his diesel, but this is the first one I have owned. I thought that the charcoal canister and vapor selenoid were only on gas systems, not diesel......
