Default Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 Diesle tire size

My truck has run 265/70/17 but I got a set of 285/70/17 is it ok to run the 285/70/17 on the truck and will it mess with the gear ratio?

Your speedo will read slower than what you are actually going, but, aside from that, shouldn't be a problem at all.

Assuming its a 4x4 you can run up to a 325/70/17 or 35/12.5/17 with minimal issues. Yes your speedometer will be incorrect so keep that in mind

The 285 will have no issues at all, very very common tire upgrade on the 2500 trucks. Dodge gives us these massive wheel wells with donuts inside them

Would also be a good idea to upgrade your spare, but not required, just don't run hundreds of miles on it
