Default New truck and New Motor????

I have heard rumor on here and out in my daily travels that Dodge is going to finally build a bigger truck??? I have also heard that cummins is putting in a bigger motor?? A 6.7 liter diesel. If so is it available in the 2500 and 3500 trucks?? If they are building a bigger truck will it be out in 07? Thanks for the input.

Well, yes, it's all rumor for now. So, that's a big "Gunna hafta wait and see" to be sure. The rumors seem to be pretty darn strong, on both accounts (4/5500 truck and bigger diesel from those making it into the 2/3500), hopefully it'll happen.

I am a little confused on the whole 4/5500 and the 2/3500. What do those numbers mean? I am sure it is simple.

It's the truck sizes.

1/2 ton = 1500
3/4 ton = 2500
1 ton = 3500
bigger = 4500 and 5500

FYI, the Cummins 5.9 that is in our trucks can also be found in the Ford F650's and F750's as an option
