Default RE: Thought on Transfer Pumps

I checked with the Mallory's product support. They suggest using a 140 GPH pump with an external return style regulator. They say that the pump itself has an internal regulator but the passage is a bit small to pass enough fuel in colder climates. Pressures can reach over 20 psi with cold fuel, placing undue stress on the motor. The external regulator will solve this problem. The Mallory Comp Pump is also rebuildable.
Cost for the pump and regulator in a packaged kit form $230.00, just a bit more than a OEM lift pump.
