what year will they put the mercedes in the trucks

 

Ford actually already has cummins engines in their F-650's and such. I don't think we will be using Mercedes diesels though.

 

im not positive as to the date they are going to put these engines in there trucks but ive heard it is as soon as dodges contract to cummins is over( i dont know if this is true because dodge supposedly has majority shares over ford) and are giving up the cummins that we all love so much.

Yeah, the engine is a 6.7L and emissioned to death. 300ish HP, 600ish TQ...the numbers WERE NOT AS HIGH as the current 325HP CTD, although, I think it is giving them room to grow...look were the 5.9 started and see where it went!

The manual will be a different version (ratio) of the G56 and also a new tranny built by Aisen (6sp auto, dual OD) will be intro'd as well.

But this is only for the 4500/5500 series trucks.

I'm going to seriously consider one of these in a couple years...

Cummins
A 6.5 Cummins motor would be nuts, Id love to drive one or better yet own one, But my 05 2500 costs enough!!![IMG][/IMG]
