Hello there and pardon my ignorance but how that works...??
I'm only interested in better MPG, stock power & torque are fine with me. Also, is this device permanently attached to the engine..??

all this does is just change the fuel mappings of the ECM.
if you get this product and use it on it's lowest setting you will see an increase in fuel mileage.
infact any performance box on it's lowest setting will give you fuel mileage increases, it all depends on what you want to do, just remember though, you are replaceing the engine ECM programming, if you take the truck in for work and they see this your warranty will be void.

Not according to Cummins. It must be determined that the performance upgrade caused damage to void the warrantee. In other words, if your cam gear comes off, you are covered cause there is no way a fuel map could cause that to happen. If you burn a hole in a piston you prolly won't be covered.

Cummins is probably a bit more lenient when it comes to certian warranty work, DC doesnt care. if it boosted the performance, and it broke there goes the warranty.
case in point. guy just bought a TST module, cranked it all the way to 10/10 and proceded to floor it, truck ran like a scalded cat. a few days later while going down the highway he had it turned to 1/1 (economy setting) and the truck died. engine sciezed due to lack of oil. DC saw the TST and imediately voided his warranty. so the guy with his own cash had the engine rebuilt, come to find out the retaining bolt for the oil pick-up fell out. no locktite. but too late. a few days later guy forked over the cash for twins and stage III injectors.
I have heard of Cummins actualy pulling the engine apart to see what caused the engine to fail even when a box was on it. DC will not do this (most of the time, just depends on how buddy buddy you are with the service manager
)

it is up to service manager if it voids it or not but on the other hand local dealer hear will put on and waranty before you ever pull off lot a edge ez, banks exhast,dontrember what brand but a cold air kit as well but all have to be installed by the stealership but then they will hold to the factory waranty that is, devan lowe in fort payne al

my father is a salsemen for dodge and he is good friends with all the mechanics in the back. he has personally seen a cummins representative come to the shop and examine the engine to see what malfuntioned, there was a serial number on it which told him what workers assembled the engine, the worker was fired. cummins doesnt mess around with reliability they are really **** that way which is a very good thing.
