i have a 1998.5 with the auto and 4.10 gears. i just wish the overdrive was a little taller at 70 it turns 2200 which isnt to bad but i would like it to be a little closer to 18-1900

I have the same problem and I find myself popping out of 6th to find 7th some times[:@]

I have 4.10's and the NV5600. so at 2000rpm I'm only doing 62mph. but I love the 4.10's, it realy gives my truck major low end grunt. the only thing I have found so far that will let you keep the low end grunt and lower the engine RPM's would be either a U.S. Gear or gear vendors overdrive.
Drew I have the 6 speed also and seem to have the same thought , I am forever shifting out of 6 th into nothing , then back to 6 th... I am turning 1900 rpms at 60 mph.. does that mean that I have the 4.10 gear ratio?

tobinj is right, the g-56 equiped trucks only have the 3.73. why you are turning so many RPM's like me is that the final drive ratio is higher than the NV5600.
