Default OBD II Code P0238 What do I do ?

I just bought a 1999 2500 Quad Cab Sport CTD All stock as far as I know with 143,000 on the clock. Drove it for about 200 miles and the check engine light came on. Went to the local Auto Joke and had them chek the code P0238 Hi voltage for boost pressure sensor A.
Is this going to hurt my motor untill I can get to the Stealer with it or is it something that I can fix myself Still going to make Stealer fix it, but what causes it and is it serious?
Thanks Troy

MAP sensor voltage too high (Manifold Absolute Pressure) MAP sensor could be bad, connection could be bad, could be a leak somewhwere....? If the vehicle seems to be running normally and the CEL isn't on, it might have reset and be nothing. The MAP and Intake Air Temp sensor are together on the diesels, so there are a lot of possible problems here.

one other thing you could do to help yourself out is to go over to the 2nd gen forum and go to the merry christmas thread at the top of the forum, read it and download the link... it is for a newer truck but the info should be pretty much the same.

Dealer told me the injectors were going out, have a appointment Friday to replace them for free. They told me that they replaced them when it was traded in a month age, truck has only went about 300 miles since then. Hope that I didnt end up with a POS

Thanks for the advice Drew ! Dealer found that the MAP Sensor is going out so they ordered one for me the tried to charge me for it. Told them I will take my wheels and tires off, put the stock one back on and bring it back then go to the bank and stop payment on the down payment, they changed their tune mighty quick. I realize that it is not under warrenty anymore but I have had the truck for less that a week when it started having problems and less than 200 miles, so for $17,000 that i am paying, they can fix the thing. Had them check the injector pump and lift pump and both are new upgrades alon with the wiring ( didn't know you could upgrade wiring? ) Thanks to everybody for the hepl and hope that my truck is back to 100% at the first of the week

Finally got the new MAP sensor from the dealer but had to put it in myself ( they didn't have time untill sometime next week,). So i brought it home and borrowed enough big tools to take the old one out and replace it. Can anyons light a jet under my A@@ !!!!!!! Truck runs better than when I drove off the lot. Thanks to all that helped.
