Here is the real deal boys, I have owned three ctd's since 2000. A 2000 an 04 and now an 06 4x4. As some of you know, it is rare for my trucks not to be towing a grossly overloaded trailer every day on 175 to 250 mile trips to the state farmers markets in SC and all over NC. I always start out B*&^%$ing about my mpg's just like eveyone else. But after 10 or 15k rolls around they start climbing. Of course I only get 10 to 14 pulling my 27ft poc horse trailer ,but the other day I had to make a trip to NC with no trailer and it is pretty hilly, I drove like an old geaser and believe it or not I managed a tad over 21mpgs hand calculated and double checked. I kept ole ugly on 55 and 65 the entire trip. What Im trying to say is GIVE IT SOME TIME and drive like you got a bag of weed under your seat and a highway patrol is creeping up behind you. Good day and HAPPY MOTORING

I had a 05 4x4 laramine auto with 35's and would average 17.5 hand calculated running veggie oil (wvo) and #2 mix.
