Default MPG increasing chip

One of my co-workers and I were talking about our diesel trucks..... He told me that he was at a shop and the mechanics told him about a chip that increases your MPG. He couldn't remember who made the chip but said that Dodge/Chrystler have approved the use of this chip. If anyone knows of the maker of this chip PLEASE let me know so I can get one for mine.

Thanks in advance

Allen

ugotit is correct, DC doesnt like to see programmers of chips on the trucks. However, any performance box on the lowest setting generaly yealds 2-3 more mpg just from increaseing the timeing and duration of the injector.

uh, that may be me... just got back from a 900 mile trip to palm springs and I used the #1 setting (25 hp) of the Edge the whole way, average about 18 mpg r/t with minimal city driving. I basiclly set the cruise and forgot about it... (too many tickets on the record at the moment )

this morning on the last 100 or so miles close to home, I bumped it up to the 3 settiing (60 hp) and opened it up... just in time to see 3 cops writing tickets... [&:] damn, back to 1... Its too easy to get up to 80 on the 3 setting and not notice it.

03 Qc 4x4 swb 5.9l diesel with edge EZ set on 4=70hp and was able to get 23.6 mpg on first 550-mile trip and 22.1 mpg on second 550-mile. average 17mpg in city if i dont do the red light bogey playing with fords.
just stayed out of the pedal and ran 70mph most of the trips.
just started to add Power service diesel additive -16 oz. and Marvel msy. oil -8 oz.to tank and hope to see another 1 to 2 mpg. thanks to Drew! you tha man!
hope to add BHAF and swap out my EZ for the new edge programer with the monitor-Attitude.
well bro good luck! Keep on Mod'n and Ramm'n
