There was a post just recently about the actual weight of a 2500 Cummins. Mine is a 2004.5 2wd longbed. In my recent trip to the dump I found that my truck with a half tank of gas and no one in it...not even myself....weighs in at <7000lbs. Right now in California I am paying about $450 in registration. Is there any way to get this reduced? Has anyone done this before? Any help would be appreciated.

 

I have a 2006 2500 CTD and had it reweighed and it dropped my registration about $60 according to the DMV. I live in California.
