Welcome to DF...

the 2003's are supposed to ge the best milage... i would personally make sure it had the HO motr with 305 HP. I drove a couple of them and the 305 hp motor had the best milage of them.

Yea i would say that was a decent deal. I had a 03 4 door short bed 2wd before i traded it for my 05. I think the dealer gave me about 26,000 for it with 50 k miles on it. This was last year though. The 03 2wd's got 20-21 mpg highway. If you drove easy you can get between 18.5 and 20 in the city. This year had some of the best miliage of all of them. I would just check it out with a good diesel machanic to make sure there is nothing wrong with it.

I just traded in my '04 2500 CTD Quad Short in Nov - it was a fully loaded Laramie 4WD with about 60K and I got low blue which at the time was about what they want you to pay for the 2WD...it seems high to me...
