Well I would check fuses first. Do you have power to all the gauges and lights and stuff like that?

could be a simple oversite when you did this...Some things I would check:

Is the drain valve completely closed? (If you open it, does fuel come out? ).

Are you sure you replaced the o-ring.

Did you fill the filter housing with diesel fuel before installing the new filter?

Did you lubricate the o-ring with some fuel or grease before tightening the cap?

Did you overtighten?

keep us posted on your progress.

how long did you crank it each time... your supposed to give it an extended break in between attempts because the load on the starter could burn in up. check the manual and see what it says... IIRC 1 or 2 minutes of cooldown for each 15 seconds of cranking. I'm sure the experts will set me straight if I'm wrong...

Thanks for all the info. I had forgot to fill the fuel filter bowl up before bumping the starter. I cracked the top off the filter, filled the bowl, and finally got the engine to crank. Took it out on the interstate and all appears to be well. Thanks for the info. Just found this site yesterday and have learned a bunch already. Once again thanks
