Hey guys just traded in my 04 titan for a real truck. Got the Dodge ctd quad cab 2500. This truck rocks!!! I have a few questions; first of all i got the 7 infinity speaker Stereo package. I noticed that I get Vocals out of the three small speakers on the top of the dash and also out of the two in the back. However on the two on the passenger and driver side doors all I get out of them is base. Is this how the stereo system is designed to work? Or should I get vocals out of them as well? Also the first mod I am going to do is the Air intake box. Most of the guys around here recommend the Afe Stage 2 Is this a good one to get?

Base and mid-range out of the doors only, not much top end

 

AFE has some good stuff, I just yanked out the box and put on a NAPA 2790 BHAF

and Troy is right, and mine is the same, the three dash speakers are trebel only, the front door mount are midranges, and the rear are bass/trebel.

 

The stereo system in the truck has a amp the runs the speakers instead o th deck doing it. It is a crossover network built into it that does the seperation of bass/mid/treb to the speakers. This helps the sound system in that truck have allot better sound. If you ever replace the radio with an aftermarket you have to bypass that amplifier tho. If you ever want to replace a blown speaker go to dodge to get one or repleace the entire system.
