Fuel Mileage
since this is a hot topic these days with fuel cost, what kind of mileage are you getting?
hand calculate is preferable
other things to note in your post:
1) Are you stock, Yes or No and what are you running
2)Fuel addatives, Yes or No and what kind of Mix (brand and how much per tank)
3)Auto or Manual
4) rear axel ratio
5) 2wd or 4wd
the last three might seen a bit odd, but this might show potential buyers the fuel mileage hit one will get between auto, manual and 4x4
Me.
still stock
16oz Power Service Grey Bottle & 8oz MMO
NV5600 6spd
4.10's
4x4

My best mileage so far was 18.1 empty
hand calculated, 98% hwy using 5.25 oz of Lucas Upper Cylinder lube & injector cleaner. Right now with only 1575 miles on the odometer with small break in load of 600 lbs between 16.75 to 17 mpg town/hwy
with 8 oz MMO and 16 oz of PS. The next test comes next Wednesday afternoon when I run this CTD 1800 miles in 33 hr's to Oregon carrying a small 900 lb load and will be a bit heavier coming back 7 days later.
100% Stock, except nerf bars and window shades, stock tires 265/70/17, 3.73's, 4 speed Auto, 4 X 4, QC, Short Box.

I marked the 18-19 column. Always hand calc, I do about 60% highway driving so many times I'm more like 17.5. Went to indy last weekend, pulled 18.9 running about 70mph on the second 1/2 of a tank (first half had been my normal driving). Truck is bone stock (I'd love to BOMB it but my tranny has a warranty, don't wanna give 'em any reason to void that).
Edit: Forgot, I always run the PS/MMO cocktail.

1. Stock
2. Drews Brew
3. Manual 6 speed
4. 3.73 I am told. Dodge needs to tag these things somewhere.
5. 4X4
Acording to how I drive ... 19.3 - 21
It does better at moderate speeds than on the interstate.

Scott, if your reverse gear is next to 2nd gear then you have the G-56 tranny, the only axel option is the 3.73's due to the high final drive ratio, .79 as compared to my NV5600's .73. I feel your pain of turning around 2300rpm at 70mph but there is a way to solve that and turn your truck into a 12 speed
